Teknofest

Our faculty was established on 10.10.1996 under the name of Health School, affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University. It started education in the 1998-1999 academic year with the Nursing Program. The Health School was affiliated with Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on 17.03.2006. In 2011, the Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics and Emergency Aid and Disaster Management were opened, in 2017 the Department of Gerontology, and in 2018 the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation were opened.  

 

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Health School was closed in accordance with the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2016/8562, published in the Official Gazette No. 29678 dated April 08, 2016, and the Faculty of Health Sciences was established in its place with the same Council of Ministers Decision. Our faculty currently includes the departments of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, and Gerontology.

In line with Atatürk's principles and reforms, to train individuals who are aware of their duties and responsibilities towards their country and who turn these into behaviors, who respect patient rights and professional values, who have the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive services in line with the health needs of the individual, family, and society, who adopt lifelong learning as a principle, and who are innovative and productive.
