Our Faculty's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation includes the Electrophysical Agents Laboratory, which is a well-equipped educational environment that allows students to recognize electrotherapy devices used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation and to learn treatment methods with these devices practically. This laboratory is equipped with modern devices to teach the use of technologies such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, laser, shortwave diathermy, and TENS, which are widely used in physiotherapy.
In the laboratory, practical training is also provided with state-of-the-art devices such as hot-cold applications used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, agents containing infrared and ultraviolet light, hydrotherapy applications, and wearable pressure corsets aimed at increasing circulation and reducing pain.
Students experience the treatment protocols and clinical applications of electrophysical agents, learning the effects of these techniques on musculoskeletal disorders, pain management, wound healing, and neurological disorders. Detailed training is provided on the correct use of each device in the laboratory, allowing students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Additionally, the laboratory offers an environment that enables research projects and clinical studies. In this way, students can examine the innovative applications and therapeutic effects of electrophysical agents in the field of physiotherapy from a scientific perspective. The Electrophysical Agents Laboratory plays an important role in providing students with professional competence as an integral part of physiotherapy education.
