Training on waist and neck health for Burdur Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry personnel from our Faculty

In the event held with the theme "Basic practices for a healthy spine at work and in daily life," comprehensive information was provided to the directorate employees on ergonomic work habits and protecting the spine in terms of back and neck health.
The training was given by physiotherapy student candidates and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melda Soysal Tomruk. Participants were informed about correct sitting positions in desk jobs, load carrying techniques, daily exercises that can be done at the workplace, and methods to prevent back and neck pain. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melda Soysal Tomruk said, "With correct posture, ergonomic arrangements, and simple exercises that can be done in daily life, we can protect the spine, prevent back and neck pain early, and prevent permanent problems that may occur in later ages."
The directorate personnel learned practically by experiencing how ergonomic arrangements should be in the workplace, the principles of carrying and lifting loads without straining the back and neck, and easy exercises that can be done at the workplace. At the end of the training, feedback from the participants was received, and their questions regarding their health were also answered.
It was stated that similar events will continue in different institutions and organizations.
