MAKÜ Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Students Provide Spine Health Education to Sugar Factory Employees

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation students organized a spine health training for Burdur Sugar Factory employees this week as part of their Social Responsibility course visits.
In the training, which was held with wide participation, factory employees were given information about workplace ergonomics, correct posture, and exercises to protect spine health. The exercises demonstrated practically by the students were also experienced by the employees. Thus, important information on protecting spine health in daily working life was shared.
After the training meeting, the students examined the process of turning beet into sugar on-site at the Burdur Sugar Factory and received information about the production stages. With the briefing provided by the factory officials, the students had the opportunity to see the production process closely.
