Traffic Education for Little Ones from MAKÜ Nursing Department

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department organized a meaningful event aimed at instilling traffic awareness in the preschool period. In the event organized under the title "Learning Traffic Rules," Mehmetçik Kindergarten students were informed about traffic rules.

In the event held on March 27, 2026, at 11:00 am, basic traffic rules were conveyed to children in fun and educational ways. Topics such as the use of pedestrian crossings, the meaning of traffic lights, and safe crossing were reinforced with visual materials and practical explanations.

The coordination of the event was undertaken by Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department faculty member Dr. Lecturer Hanife Erbil. While emphasizing the importance of children gaining traffic awareness at an early age, it was stated that such training would contribute to the development of safe behavior habits in later ages.

Thanks were extended to the Mehmetçik Kindergarten Principal, valuable teachers, and all students who actively participated in the event for their contributions to the realization of the event. Gratitude was expressed to all stakeholders who contributed to the efficient and enjoyable completion of the event with their cooperation and support.

MAKÜ Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department stated that it will continue its awareness efforts aimed at improving public health. With such events, both the social responsibility awareness of students is supported, and health and safety training for different segments of society is being disseminated.
