In collaboration with the Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Burdur State Hospital, an event for World Pressure Injury Prevention Day was organized on November 20, 2024. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Chief Physician of Burdur State Hospital, the Director and Deputy Directors of Nursing Services, faculty members, nursing department students, nurses, patients, and their relatives.
As part of the event, two stands were set up in the outpatient clinics of Burdur State Hospital, and visits were made to the inpatient wards. Brochures were distributed and information was provided to patients and their relatives who visited the outpatient clinics and those who were hospitalized in the inpatient wards. Approximately 400 brochures containing information on preventing pressure injuries were distributed throughout the day-long event.
