Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences organized a panel titled 'Understanding Hearing Impaired Individuals and the Importance of Hearing in Children' as part of the December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
At the panel held at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall as part of the December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Faculty of Health Sciences Lecturer Hanife Ülgen presented on “Challenges Faced by Hearing Impaired Individuals in the Field of Health Services,” Faculty of Education Lecturer Dr. Aynur TEPE on “The Place, Importance, and Warning Signs to Be Noted in Hearing for Primary School Students,” Faculty of Education Lecturer Prof. Dr. Perihan ÜNÜVAR on “The Place, Importance, and Warning Signs to Be Noted in Hearing for Preschool Children,” and Faculty of Education Lecturer Prof. Dr. Özlem TAGAY on “Approach to Families with Hearing Impaired Children.”
The panel was attended by Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül Mutlu Gülmemiş, Faculty of Dentistry Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Alp Sağlam, Head of Nursing Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nevin Uslu, Nuriye Mehmet Nuri Velicangil Primary School Deputy Principal Ercüment Ülgen, healthcare workers from Burdur State Hospital, academicians, and students. The panel concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
