White Coat Ceremony Held by the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

A ceremony was organized for the first-year students of our Faculty's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation to wear white coats. 

The ceremony began with a speech by Selin Balkan, representing the first-year students of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Then, the advisor of our first-year students and Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tomruk, talked about the profession of physiotherapy, the importance of the white coat for physiotherapists, and the history of the profession in his opening speech. Following this, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül Mutlu Gülmemiş, emphasized the importance of the physiotherapy profession for public health in her speech. The ceremony continued with a presentation introducing the department by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melda Soysal Tomruk. 

During the ceremony, a gift was presented to Esma Nur Çelikoğlu, the student who entered the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with the highest score in the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), by our Dean. The ceremony concluded with the white coat wearing ceremony for our students and a photo shoot.
