Organized by the Gerontology Student Community within the scope of Ünides, the ``Generations Hand in Hand; Social Support and Education Project``

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Gerontology carried out a meaningful social event in Büğdüz Village. The program organized within the scope of ÜNİDES was conducted under the coordination of Head of the Gerontology Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Sütlü, Community Advisor Lecturer Dr. Nurvet Büyükyörük, Dr. Lecturer Ebru Akbaş, Dr. Lecturer Kerime Öğüt Düzen.

During the event, various activities were carried out to support the active aging processes of elderly individuals and to increase their social participation. Participants played fun games using ping pong balls, participated in a painting activity, and were encouraged to engage in physical activity with the bocce game.

The events, conducted in collaboration with students and academicians of the Gerontology Department, aimed to contribute to the psycho-social development of elderly individuals. At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants, and a group photo was taken to commemorate the day.

Head of the Gerontology Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Sütlü, in her statement, emphasized the importance of such field studies aimed at improving the quality of life of elderly individuals and stated that similar events will continue in the future.
